Voleurs VoleursJ'ai annulé avant l'heure limite tant auprès du loueur ( qui ne facturera donc jamais Carjet) qu'auprès de Carjet ( en respectant scrupuleusement leurs conditions d'annulation). Qu'elle ne fut pas ma surprise en découvrant qu'ils refusaient le remboursement parce qu'après mon annulation sur leur site, je devais confirmer celle ci en validant un mail qu'ils m'adressent ultérieurement et après l'heure limite autorisée. Tout est fait pour vous arnaquer.Nous sommes des milliers dans cette situation, partagez votre mécontenement sur tous les sites possibles

20 de septiembre de 2023 tenía contratado recoger mi vehículo a las 22:00h en Funchal Aeropuerto a través de CarJet a otra empresa de alquiler de coches. Todo iba según lo previsto hasta que a las 17:00 de la tarde, 3 horas antes de coger mi vuelo, he recibido una llamada de la compañía diciendo que el shutel o furgoneta que nos tenía que recoger no estaría esperándo si no estábamos allí a las 22:00h en punto. Le hemos especificado cual era nuestro vuelo y explicado que aterrizaba a las 22:05, y de mala maneras, nos ha dicho que él no iba a esperar más de las 22:00 y que lo iba a hablar con su jefe. A partir de aquí no hemos tenido ninguna respuesta, y tampoco ha habido forma de que contestara a nuestras llamadas. Tras aterrizar, nos hemos dirigido al punto de recogida a las 22:12 y hemos esperado hasta las 22:55, pero no ha aparecido nadie, a pesar de que han pasado shuttels de otras compañias. Tampoco nadie ha contestado a nuestras llamadas, y lo único que hemos podido hacer es dejar un mensaje en el contestador evidenciando nuestro malestar.
Según el contrato, disponíamos de una hora de cortesía para recoger el vehículo que no se ha cumplido, ni se han puesto los medios para que esto se pudiera dar. Además, ni las formas de actuar (no han contactado con nosotros para reconducirlo ni nos han propuesto una alternativa), ni la forma en la que se han dirigido a nosotros por teléfono han sido correctas. Nos hemos quedado literalmente tirados en el aeropuerto sin opciones y hemos tenido que coger un taxi para poder llegar al alojamiento.
Al próximo día nos presentamos en la oficina de la empresa de alquiler que subcontrato CarJet. Los empleados declinaban ningún tipo de responsabilidad aludiendo que no es problema suyo que CarJet no esté bien coordinado con ellos en cuanto a condiciones y horarios. Nos plantearon el poder cancelar la reserva al cual nos negamos desconfiando totalmente de la respuesta de CarJet dado que no nos habían dado soporte.Por otra parte nos pidieron un depósito de 1850€ al cual nos negamos y tuvimos que que pagar un seguro más de 190€ para evitar que nos cobrasen ese dinero para luego supuestamente devolverlo.
Nos ha salido más caro el alquiler de un coche pequeño que el propio apartamento.

La conclusión es que CarJet funciona estafando al usuario ya que no da ningún tipo de servicio en caso de que haya problemas y vendiendo un seguro que no cubre absolutamente nada. Eso si cobrando por adelantado sin ningún tipo de responsabilidad.

September 20, 2023 I had a contract to pick up my vehicle at 10:00 p.m. at Funchal Airport through CarJet from another car rental company. Everything was going according to plan until at 5:00 p.m., 3 hours before catching my flight, I received a call from the company saying that the shuttle or van that was to pick us up would not be waiting if we were not there on time. 10:00 p.m. sharp. We told him what our flight was and explained that it landed at 10:05 p.m., and in a rude manner, he told us that he wasn't going to wait longer than 10:00 p.m. and that he was going to talk to his boss about it. From here on we have had no response, and there has been no way for him to answer our calls. After landing, we went to the pick-up point at 10:12 p.m. and waited until 10:55 p.m., but no one showed up, even though shuttles from other companies had passed by. No one has answered our calls either, and the only thing we have been able to do is leave a message on the answering machine showing our discomfort.

According to the contract, we had a courtesy hour to pick up the vehicle, which has not been fulfilled, nor have the means been put in place for this to happen. Furthermore, neither the ways in which they acted (they have not contacted us to redirect it nor have they proposed an alternative), nor the way in which they have addressed us by telephone have been correct. We were literally left stranded at the airport with no options and we had to take a taxi to get to the accommodation.

The next day we showed up at the office of the rental company that CarJet subcontracted. The employees declined any type of responsibility, stating that it is not their problem that CarJet is not well coordinated with them regarding conditions and schedules. They asked us to cancel the reservation, which we refused, totally distrusting CarJet's response since they had not given us support. On the other hand, they asked us for a deposit of €1,850, which we refused and we had to pay more than €190 for insurance. € to avoid them charging us that money and then supposedly returning it.
Renting a small car has cost us more than the apartment itself.

The conclusion is that CarJet works by scamming the user since it does not provide any type of service in case there is a problem and by selling insurance that covers absolutely nothing. That is if you charge in advance without any type of responsibility.
I'VE BEEN SCAMMED OF 264 EUROS! On 14th of August 2023 I've cancelled a car reservation (way before the reservation period). Despite I've received an email with the communication I was going to receive the full payment back in 2-3 days, today 29th of August 2023 I still haven't received anything back. They have no email address or call center you can reach. I've tried to open other forms of tickets but nothing is happening!!! I want my 264 euros back!!!
Ekomi review management should revise their customer award for Carjet as only negative reviews are posted. Carjet should not bragging in their website that they have a customer award.

WE HAVE BEEN MAGNIFICENTLY AND ROYALLY SCAMMED!
The worst experience I’ve had traveling.
We booked two months ahead of our family holiday, only to be told on the last day (when we called to verify late car pick-up at Thessaloniki airport) that we needed a credit card to pay the deposit, and not the debit card we originally paid with. It was written in the fine print that the deposit cannot be made with a debit card.. but the sentence exactly above it said that “debit cards are accepted by the service provider (visa and Mastercard only)” No serious company would be that deceiving, only one that scams thousands over the internet. My husband called them, (even though the booking was in my name) The several representatives he talked to exchanged info with him without any regard for data protection. He spoke to 3 different people who kept putting him on hold and the line would cut after a while. Eventually he (not me) was given the option to pay 450 euro instead, as insurance to the local car provider through the office in Thessaloniki . The insurance we had originally paid was 65. We obviously asked what would be the refund if we canceled. They said they could refund us the insurance but not the car rental as it was less than 24 hours to the booking. The lady just hung up on my husband again.
Without him agreeing to anything or giving any instructions whatsoever, and within seconds of the last call, I received an email saying that my booking had been cancelled, that I would receive a refund of 65 euro from the original 542.90 euro paid.
I immediately replied that I did not cancel. Over the afternoon I sent over 10 emails requesting the reason why they canceled and we just received an automatic reply that they would get back to us.
The flight was at 10 at night and we arrived at 1 am in Thessaloniki.
I called Abby cars and a representative - G M verified what his colleague S- told me earlier. That CarJet had canceled the booking and they did not know the reason. I explained that neither did I, but he would not help me.
When I did get through to Spain again I was told that the booking was canceled, but no reason was given. I was also told rudely that since they had no recordings they could not verify if what I was saying was true!
It felt surreal, I would never have imagined a representative of tourism company would act this way. It felt as though they were trained to say the things they were saying, and they executed it without empathy, remorse or even acknowledgment for the other person (their paying client) on the line.

I am now stranded at Thessaloniki airport with a toddler and a 13 year old and my husband, and have no way of renting from any other car rental company at this hour.
I tried calling the number in Spain again but it said the lines close at 10pm.
It appears that we have been magnificently and royally scammed. Even though I replied instantly to their cancellation notification, over 12 hours before, they never rectified the situation and kept ignoring me. They keep the money and did not supply any car. Their representatives were constantly cutting the line on my husband and myself when we insisted that we did not cancel my booking.

I have no choice but to continue posting in every place I can so as to help others not to land themselves inadvertantly in the same situation. I will also be taking legal and police advice locally and in the EU as I see from other reviews that this is happening on a very wide scale.
SCAM COMPANY

They canceled my reservation, and from what I see in the comments, I don't think they will refund my balance on my card. I can't find any way to contact them.
Be careful with this company they give you a price and then with the car company they will charge you again almost the same amount on top they dont respect their insurance

I booked a car online with you 4 May 2023, to be collected at Corfu Airport 19 Jun 23 at 2330hrs to be returned on 26 Jun 23 at 2200hrs.
Our flight landed at 2330hrs and we quickly manoeuvred through to the terminal, whereas there was no one waiting for us from your company. I called the munber on the agreement form to be told that the office was closed at 2300hrs. I am absolutely astonished that this is how you do business, for the following reasons:

1. The paperwork that you sent me indicates that we are arriving at 2330hrs, why would you take my money if you intended to close at 2300hrs, this is theft?

2. We were left stranded at an airport an hour away from our accommodation and had no idea what to do, you obviously didn't care!

3. We solved our problem despite your pathetic service, however it did cost us and our holiday was very different to what we had planned.

4. You took a deposit of 26.70 euros for a service you were never going to provide, I wany my money back.

5. Your paperwork even indicated the extra charges for out of hours service, but you closed at 2300hrs without a care.

If I do not receive a satisfactory response to this email, I will ensure that everyone I know and where possible online, that you are a ***.
Experiencia horrible, contratado mediante Carjet, con seguro platino incluido para evitar problemas y cuando llegas allí no sirve de nada, debido a que la empresa es GoldCar y no carjet, tienes que realizar un seguro por días si quieres que te entregen el vehículo, el cual aparte de los ***€ aproximados ya pagados por 5 días a Carjet, te obligan a contratar un seguro por días el cual asciende a *** por 5 días, basandose en que la fianza de 1200€ debe ser cobrada por una tarjeta de crédito con los caracteres en relieve (en las nuevas algunas son lisas, como en mi caso) por lo tanto aunque la tengas no sirve de nada, aparte de darte un vehículo que no es el contratado, según ellos similar, con peores caracteristicas, motor antiguo y con una edad de 12 años, ya que el ofertado y contratado que te ofrecen desde el inicio, es un vehículo que salio al mercado bastante mas recientemente, en vez de uno algo mas moderno, no lo recomiendo y veo que no soy el único caso, consultar todo bien e informaros, pero no recomiendo ni GoldCar ni CarJet, a los cuales he avisado con el inicio de una reclamacion
On Sunday, May 21, I reserved a car for May 27, for *** euros, for 2 days, then they deducted 54 euros from my bank account, then I had to cancel the rental yesterday, May 25 because they asked me to block *** euros of My bank account, which I did not have, I requested a refund for the cancellation of the rental and they returned *** euros, that is, they kept *** euros even though I canceled on time.
It is unfortunate that companies like these abuse customers, I will never rent or work with this company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, THEY HAVE STOLEN *** EUROS FROM ME.
1. Got now 3 amounts booked on my credit card with one amount I don't even know why.
2. Car booked yesterday for today just canceled by today and provider does not even know about my booking.
3. Offer for same booking is still online and this time I do not get an answer in anyhow also the provider does not receive my booking
4. Not possible to get anybody from carjet
